Flooding

Lots of standing water in Charles County so I expect roads will be or are already closed. Don't know about the other two counties.

Any road closures from flooding?

This isn't a surprise with a name like Water Street. This was in Upper Marlboro after Irene, but I imagine it doesn't look too differently today. I always try to get a peek of it on heavy rain days as I'm driving by on Rt 4, but southbound I couldn't today (car is too low).

Some city engineering amazes me.

WTOP is reporting Rt 4 being closed in both directions at Woodyard Road as of 6:14 a.m. WTOP

I passed this area just before six, and it was fine. Rt 301 was closed at Rt 4 also in both directions. I saw that, it looked heavily flooded in the southbound direction.

edit: Reopened Rt 4 a half hour later.

T-Bone and Heather just reported that Rt. 301 near Charles County Detention Center road has collapsed (sunken) Not sure if it's northbound or southbound lanes. Also mention- there was a water resuce in Bryans Road area.
