AMANDA Bynes is seeking presidential intervention as she battles a misdemeanour drunk driving charge.
The troubled actress asked on Twitter if President Barack Obama could fire the police officer who arrested her, insisting she is innocent.
"Hey @BarackObama... I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end," she wrote to the Twitter account run by Obama's 2012 campaign.
Bynes, 26, was charged on Tuesday with driving under the influence following an April 6 incident in Hollywood in which she allegedly hit a police car in her BMW at 3am.
