Hamas linked to area housing

You people have GOT TO STOP reading the Washington Times.

First of all, this story is years old. Look up "BMI scandal of the 90's" on Google and you'll see all about it. Same thing.

And "Hamas linked to area housing" is the absolute worst and misleading news title I have seen since I can remember. The Hamas aren't linked to anything except symapthy. Beheiri is nothing more than a typical Saudi millionaire businessman who supports all Arab/Muslim terrorist organizations. There are hundreds of them. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Beheiri had already been deported back to Europe.. Switzerland or somewhere a waay long time ago.

Horrible title, horrible article, horrible paper.

Um..First of all, that article is online, not scanned from a local paper. Second of all if you checked, you'd see that the article was in the "Nation/Politics" section which makes even that much more embarrassing.

Sorry you are unaware of satire....
I was mocking the Washington POST which by my lack of listing indicates my total disregard for its slanted "journalism." I hope you will forgive my high handed sarcasm...I'll try not to complicate things for you again.

The lead for the story might suck, but actually the story is recent, as it talks about the new sentencing declaration from this older matter.

Do you suggest that we read only the Post?

I read news from easily over 10 sources all day everyday. Trust me, the Washington Times is not one of them. But you people go do whatever you want. Enjoy yourselves.

I get really tired of the reeking liberalism of the newspapers in the D.C. area; especially over the past 6 months...it is getting worse! If all the 10 sources you read each day was geared towards conservatism, wouldn't you tune it out? I don't read the Washington Post rag, so where else do I turn to being a conservative? You think the Washington Times is exaggerated and lies, and I believe the Washington Post, and other liberal trash is exactly what it is, GARBAGE!

I don't publish or advertise newspapers. So if you can't find legit conservative papers on the net and you have to resort to the Times, like I said, knock yourself out. Don't blame me. LMAO!!!!

Shall we all bow to the exalted http, reader of ten newspapers to collate his spin? (I don't know about you guys, but I have a job to attend to that does not allow me time to spend reading all morning).

Couldn't resist another opportunity to slam the Times, could you, http?

Every heard of letting something sink? I don't see how which 10 hardly matters, but if you must:

Online all day,
Wash Post
NY Times
WTOP radio all day
my.yahoo which basically reports from AP and Reuters, ESPN, E! Online, Fightnews.com, etc.

Via email,
AP breaking news and updates
CNN breaking news and updates
NBC4.com breaking news and updates

At home on TV,
MSNBC

A few times a week,
BBC, Fana (Arab news portal (when it works)), Chicago Tribune

Once a week,
Village Voice (NYC), The City Paper, The Nation, Bay Weekly, Calvert Independent, The Capital (Annapolis)

I also listen to Howard Stern/Elliot/the Junks/Haber n Erin and KML in the morning, Ken Hamblin in the afternoon and Don n Mike in the afternoon and Ron n Fezzie after that if I can.

Simple...you criticize other people's choice in news and claim superiority because you "read news from easily over 10 sources all day everyday". However, if those 10 sources were something like conspiracytheory.com, most people would count those 10 sources against you. What you read matters because it lets others determine how much your opinion means to them.

I didn't criticize other peoples' choice in news, I criticized the Times because they are a bunch of Moonies. And I specifically said twice that if people choose the Times, "enjoy yourselves".

And I didn't claim superiority by saying I read over 10 sources a day. I was merely TRYING to say that if you are looking for a local source of news and/or a conservative alternative to the Post, there are plenty of other sources other than the Times. Sorry, I'll try to be more simple next time.

Sounds pretty critical to me. And that "enjoy yourselves" was in no way sarcastic

Here's a thought...next time you are "TRYING to say that if you are looking for a local source of news and/or a conservative alternative to the Post", you should TRY to provide one. And your 10 sources (when you did post them) aren't exactly conservative alternatives to the Post.

I admit - freely - it has a right wing slant. And it is owned by the Moonies. B*g f*cking deal. The Christian Science Monitor is one of the world's best papers, and it's owned by religious nut-jobs. Being owned by a crazy nut doesn't mean its journalistic quality is poor. Look at who owned CNN.

Just because you don't *agree* with its content, doesn't make it a worthless rag. It's got a long pedigree, and has the kudos to prove it.
