Best allergy meds over the counter?

Has anybody experimented with over the counter allergy meds? I feel AWFUL!

Actifed, but be ready to take a nap about a half hour later.

Depends on what your problem is. Claratin does nothing for indoor allergies. Actifed makes you sleepy (for some people). Sudafed is slightly less effective than Actifed, but doesn't make you sleepy. Don't know about Zirtec (sp) personally, but have heard it is great.

For OTC I use Benadryl Allergy Sinus Headache and it works great, will dry you right out. But for perscriptions Zyrtec has been terrific for my son.

if you have medical benefits, clarinex is the same thing as claritan otc and it will cost you a LOT less money.
