Hmmm, that's weird. Cops, ATF and DEA have been doing helicopter based infrared snapshots and videos of homes with high energy bills for years, even in St. Mary's County! The homes lightup like a fruitcake even when the HID lamps are in the basements. You can't vent them (obviously) and you can't insulate them (obviously).

Wow. Just found out that high heat source searches by IR helicopter cameras was deemed illegal in 2001 as a result of violating 4th amendment rights.
