More than three-quarters of registered voters in New Jersey support greater restrictions on guns and ammunition, according to a new statewide poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University's PublicMind.
The poll offered voters a choice of several options being discussed after the Newtown massacre. The only option that gained broader support than greater restrictions on guns and ammunition was instituting more proactive mental illness measures, which 93 percent of voters supported.
