Hermit Thrush??

Our local Thrush hasn't been around this year ...but,

I have to take a few moments with the fotos and find out local woodpecker...
There it is....Red-Bellied Woodpecker.

I miss the Painted Bunting that visited last year-just awesome coloration.

Plenty of Cardinals, Tufted titmouses, Juncos, Nuthatches and Sparrows
I could blow 100.00 in seed every winter & not keep them all happy!

I am the same. Your description sounds like my backyard. There were 9 Bluejays feeding at one time on my deck railing last week. They are so big compared to other birds; I have never seen so many together at one time. Moved to get my camera, and they flew away!

It's been just crazy here with birds the past couple of days

We had a giant flock of something swarm the yard yesterday, and today the robins were everywhere. They apparently like the berries on the holly tree

I saw the pileated woodpecker for the first time this month, and we have another larger, beautiful one that loves the suet. Of course the black and white ones are always around. I saw some cardinals yesterday too, and some yellow and blue finches? And blue jays today
