Hmm, so at least I'm not the first to ponder this.
I was aware on the unit monuments, though not the two mentioned in the article.

Maybe AUSA can do something about this.

The army administers it. All the rest of our national cemeteries are run by the Park Service.

Interesting article. As Gude posted, Arlington, especially the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, with the Army Honor Guard, is probably the best known and iconic of the army.

While I agree it is an honor to see Soldiers standing guard over the Tomb, the Tomb is a place that honors all of the services fallen Unknowns.

Plenty of unit monuments along Memorail Drive outside the cemetery.
