Friday 13th not so unlucky, insurance group claims
Friday the 13th may not be the unluckiest day in the calendar, according to an insurance company. Axa Insurance says statistics reveal that Friday 15 is the day most likely to experience disaster. People are more cautious on Friday 13, reducing the number of accidents, the group suggested.
The company adds that the safest day to take to the roads is Sunday. Drivers are almost 50% less likely to make a claim for an accident occurring on this day, compared to Friday.
Russell Byrne, Motor Product Manager, AXA Insurance said: "Whilst our research reveals that Friday is the day of the week that motorists are more likely to have an accident, when Friday falls on the 13th of the month we notice that there is no significant increase in accident reports."
