scanner type in Calvert?

Sorry if this has been answered before and I am sure it has but I can't find it.

What system does Calvert use? Digital? I found a website (radioreference.com) and it says analog but I was told by a guy at Radio Shack Calvert is digital.

I just don't want to go buying the wrong scanner...

Calvert is not digital. They're Motorola Type 2 Smartnet that's had their base frequencies modified to a lower 800 mhz system. A Pro-164 or BCT346XT should work fine. Older scanners like the Pro-97 won't work.
