Advisers Likely Will Change if Bush Wins

WASHINGTON - President Bush national security team, which has stayed remarkably intact despite missteps in Iraq and his slumping approval ratings, is likely to undergo a major facelift if Bush wins a second term. Maybe even before.

Ok, I came across this article and read the whole thing, but couldn't find where they came up with the information...especially the "likely" part. If they don't have any sources, that's pretty irresponsible journalism IMO.

It has been widely noted (even by Powell himself) that he is leaving. When one leaves, they either bring in some fresj meat, or start shuffling others around. I would still like to see condi get powell's job.

But powell's departure (at least at first) was based on his own personal reasons, not his relationship with Bush or the others in the administration.

So back to the topic, if Rice were to move to sec. of state, a domino effect could take place on the intelligence side if others step down or get moved around. This happened once already with the economic team with no bad problems, so I don't see this as being an issue either.
