Funny in NY the results were drastically different. Liberals love to pay lip service to these things, but when it comes to action they are silent, they are really disinterested in it. I think that is the difference between conservatives and liberals. Conservatives may largely disagree with gay relationships, but we are far more FOR individual liberty and will speak out when that is violated regardless of their personal position. When it came to answering to the stereotypes, principle ruled.

I wonder what's up with that tolerant fellow who calls the waitress to order. Of all the patrons in the restaurant, there's only one whose face is blotted out and it's the companion of the tolerant dude. I wonder if that 'couple' shouldn't be a 'couple' by traditional values (or commitments to others).

In fact, he doesn't even live in SOMD. So, how do you explain that? Yet you ignore the people that stood up for the 'gay couple' in that so very bigoted TX.
Fact is, the stereotype ABC was expecting to find, just didn't exist. And just as they expected different results in TX, they seemed stunned of the result they got in the all-so-tolerant liberal NY. Perhaps we need to define some new stereotypes. Let's start with promoting that liberal/progressives really are the philosophy of bigotry and hate; well, except in lip-service.
