Broadcast journalist Ted Koppel has listed his historic home on the Maryland waterfront for sale. If you're in the market for 110 acres, and you've got $4 million, this is the place for you.

"Cross Manor," as the property is known, is located in St. Mary's County, on the shore of Saint Inigoes Creek. Some say the primary residence on this massive plot is the oldest home in Maryland, though the exact date of construction is a bit of a mystery.

Really nice man. Used to spend a month at Cross Manor every summer. He was always very open to chatting and answering questions about places he'd been to.

Another BMW guy! Can't be all bad.

The BMW guy is bad when he pulls into Raley's decked out from head to toe in leather. It was like he was trying to be a chopper dude with a small BMW. It just didn't look right. With that being said, he is very nice with a smile and nod for the locals when we're pretending not to know who he is.

Well, a lot of folks ride with full leather all year long. There's a difference between "chopper" leather and normal biker leather though. Wearing Harley style leathers on a BMW would look a bit silly, but a full leather suit of the "normal variety isnt.

this sort of leather, not really a BMW sort of thing

this is more the sort of leathers you see BMW riders wearing....

BMW riders are all about the 'stitch.. Aerostitch.. oh, and Schuberth helmets.

I can't afford it, so I wear a cheap knock off from Olympia.. and a Nolan

Can honeslty say I've never seen a BMW rider in leathers (other than the Polizie in Germany).. but with the new BMW "rice rocket" we may be seeing more.

Beautiful place. Is Ted another rich person running from Maryland?

Getting out before the rain tax and higher property taxes hit. Of course, doesn't want to pay the gas taxes as they grow and the property is so far from 'home.'

Sorry, Bob, I had to :) I had a very hard time talking myself out of the GS back when I was looking. I have seen a couple wearing leather over the years, but certainly not often. More often the textile or more modern variants.

I recognized him immediately when I sat down beside him and he struck up a conversation.....about 15 or 16 years ago in Evans restaurant bar while we were both waiting to be seated at a table. Nice guy. Surprisingly short though..
