The Gov. Didn't Develop www.healthcare.gov

For the sake of argument, let's set aside the debate of whether Obamacare is what Jesus would do or a tool of the devil designed to eventually enslave all of mankind.

It's no secret that the headlines are full of stories about the failure of Obamacare website like www.healthcare.gov. I just find it interesting how the government bears all of the blame in the eyes of many while the actual people who designed and implemented the system largely go unscathed.

According to a recent Wall Street Journal story ( Software, Design Defects Cripple Health-Care Website - WSJ.com )

Information technology experts who examined the healthcare.gov website at the request of The Wall Street Journal said the site appeared to be built on a sloppy software foundation. Such a hastily constructed website may not have been able to withstand the online demand last week, they said.

Oops, maybe someone didn't know what they were doing. And who was that someone?

That system was developed by CGI Group Inc., (GIB) the main contractor developing the federal exchange. CGI declined to comment.

And what other private capitalist concern is involved in this debacle?

Experian (EXPN.LN) PLC, an information-services firm, holds a federal subcontract to support that system. The company declined to comment.

It seems that whenever a government/taxpayer funded endeavor goes well in the public eye, the contractors are out in front waving the flag. When the opposite is true, they're no where to be found.

Experian, ain't that a credit reporting agency???? I wonder how they are involved with the ACA website as far as reporting to the Govt. people's credit. Hmmm, sounds like full blown communism, marxism, socialism, name some more.

Even when the government outsources, it is still their responsibility to ensure that the taxpayers get what they paid for.

It's like blaming the dollar store when the cheap chair you bought broke. No, you bought the cheap chair without making sure it could handle the load.
