Some of you weather junkies might know...

Years ago channel 4 had a huge number of independent 'private-citizen' weather stations stretching from Pa down through Virginia.

I spent some enjoyable times watching pressure & temp/humidity levels at micro stations--allowing me to get a better feel as to what the commute might be, or when I should bolt out of work.

I think that network (dozens of independent stations) was dropped by Channel 4

So: QUESTION: is there a website that still does this? ***NOTE: I do not want the typical TV "Storm desk 2000!" from some suited windbag in DC.

Recommendations???

There are plenty of sources for that. This is just one, and you can become one yourself. Just like a birdwatcher

I remember Doug Hill doing that too. One of the private stations was on the other side of the woods from me, my daughter went to school with the boy. It was kind of cool, because it was literally in my back yard.

Try weatherbug. Most of those sites are at local schools and they are all over the country.
