Fox's Chris Wallace Backs Obamacare Architect Into Corner On 'Keep Your Doctor' Promise


On the December 8 “Fox News Sunday,” host Chris Wallace pressed Obamacare architect Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel repeatedly about how the president’s Obamacare promises are not turning out to be true.

In 2009, Obama told the American Medical Association: “We will keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period.” But in 2013, Dr. Emanuel insisted there wasn’t a period, but an asterisk: you can keep your doctor if you pay higher premiums for it.

EMANUEL: The president never said you were going to have unlimited choice of any doctor in the country you want to go to. So let me just –

WALLACE: Wait, no. He asked a question. "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." Did he not say that, sir?

EMANUEL: He didn't say you could have unlimited choice.​

And this right here exposes the arrogance and contempt these people have for the ordinary citizen: “He didn’t say you could have…”

HAVE… We must get permission to HAVE things. Why do I have to ask permission from the government to HAVE anything?

“Have unlimited CHOICE.” Why does the government get to limit our choices? What have we become as a so-called *FREE* society where the government now defines our choices for us?

This is evil in its very roots that a few elites get to decide for ALL OF US what we do and don’t get. Is this really what you people, that continue to support Obamacare, envision as liberty?

They (the diehard Obamacare supporters) have no shame in moving the goalpost (lie) anywhere they want to justify it. I expect this from Obama and his elite brand of socialists. Their egos preempt the good of the country.

I’m asking the ordinary schmoe, in spite of the overwhelming evidence of the destructiveness of this law, the lies that had to be told to get it passed, and the lies that continue to be told to keep it alive… how can anyone with an ounce of conscience and honesty continue to support it… how?
