Open Auditions for St. Mary's College’s Production of “Shakespeare in Hollywood”

Auditions for Ken Ludwig’s uproarious comic romp through moviedom, “Shakespeare in Hollywood,” will be held on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 24 and 25, from 4-6 p.m. in the Bruce Davis Theater, Montgomery Hall, on the St. Mary’s College of Maryland campus (18952 E. Fisher Rd, St. Mary's City, MD 20686). Callbacks will be held on Thursday, Feb.27, at the same time and same place. Cast includes 12 speaking parts, 8 men and 4 women. No experience is required to audition, although reading the play before auditioning is strongly recommended. Copies of the play are on reserve at the circulation desk of the College library.

For your audition, prepare a 1-2 minute comic or dramatic monologue of your choosing that will showcase your vocal and physical abilities. Contact the director, Holly A. Blumner, at hablumner (at) smcm.edu, if you need more information about audition procedures or about the production.
