Easily the dumbest article I've read in the last month. By miles. May as well have been written by dope dealers, corrupt law enforcement and anyone else with a vested interest in 'war on drugs' money. I am trying to find the word to best describe this sort of illogical and dis-reasoning aregument.

China Syndrome?

Yeah, and they know better so, what is their motivation? Friends and constituents that are doing very well in the pseudo illegal dope biz, especially in Cali, and doing well in the legal dope biz in Colorado and other states.

It's not a conspiracy. It's logic and reasoning.

Why grow indoors and use electricity? Because it's illegal. Legal dope would be grown, cheaply, outside, using organic fertilizer, minimal chemicals and have FAR less negative impact on the environment than, say, corn or wheat.

Why would anyone leave a battery to rot ANYWHERE other than because it was a reasonable power solution to an illegal operation? Same with trash. Same with abandoning miles of poly tubing.
And their water numbers are absurd. Plus, dope, legal dope, would be grown where the weather is appropriate and water plentiful.

An article that goes to those absurd, readily absurd lengths, is a piece that was written with a clear intent; to scare off dope legalization and illustrate it as this awful, environment destroying thing to grow. They may as well tell us the earth is flat and the edges are guarded by dragons.

And the judicial system including lawyers, jails and the police. Not to mention jewelers and other high end product vendors who earn a good living off of the fat of the drug business.

And who's going to grow on their own property when they know that the government is going to seize it afterwards? Use government property and save the intermediate step.

Exactly. So, when we legalize and folks are growing on their own property, they are rather likely to take a good bit more care.

This is nothing more than a really bizarre attempt to protect illegal drug profits. Mother Jones hits the big time! Profits before people!
