Take a Summer Dip in Watercolor!
Join instructor Mary Blumberg and come aboard! Students will work with beaches, shorelines, boats and anything that floats! Some experience is required. Watercolor paper will be available to purchase at class, but please bring your own paints and brushes. The 4-class series is held June 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Potter’s Wheel: Exploring Japanese Forms
This 4-session, focused course taught by Ray Bogle will introduce students to Japanese teacup (Yunomi) and teabowl (chawan) forms and how to create them on the potter’s wheel. Details of these forms will be discussed and each student will work to create 8-10 pieces of a specific shape. All pieces will be created with stoneware clay and glazed during the final class. All materials, including 25lbs of clay and all glazes, are provided as part of the class. All pieces can be picked up approximately 5 days after the final class. No experience is necessary, although beginners can expect to produce fewer pieces. Class is held June 5, 12, 19, 26 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Member cost is $125 and nonmember cost is $140. Intro to Stained Glass-June Session
Students will learn the fundamentals behind stained glass art as they explore the copper-foil technique with instructor Leza Hepler. Learn to cut, shape and grind glass, as well as foiling and soldering techniques to make a small sun-catcher for your window. All materials are included. Class will be held June 14 from 10:00am – 2:00pm with a member cost of $40 and a nonmember cost of $45. The Helm Chainmaille Bracelet
Chainmaille is the ancient art of weaving together individual metal rings to create beautiful jewelry or entire costumes of medieval knights in shining armor—a quick easy way to make a lovely piece of jewelry! The materials included in the class kit are enough aluminum rings to complete up to an extra-large sized bracelet with a clasp and detailed instructions. The class will be taught by instructor Jerry Garnsey on June 14 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a member cost of $25 and a nonmember cost of $30. Watercolor in the Garden
Join instructor Nancy Thompson on June 17 and 18 from 10:00am to 3:30pm. This class is for any level of experience and students will learn tricks and techniques for painting floral and botanical images with vibrant color and texture. Bring photos from your garden to serve as inspiration. Use your own supplies or use the instructor’s for a small fee. The class has a member cost of $140 And a nonmember cost of $150. Pottery Basics Summer Session
Learn a comprehensive skill set for working in clay, from instructor Sarah Houde. Beginners will learn how to make simple forms on the wheels as well as slab construction techniques. Students with experience will work on more advanced projects. Class begins on June 25 and is held Wednesday evenings (6 classes) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm each night. The member cost is $215, nonmember cost is $225. Each student comes away with an assortment of pottery that is safe for dishwasher, oven and microwave. Last class ends with a raku firing. Need a little extra practice? Additional (optional) open studio days will be held on July 5 and July 20, 10am-4pm at no extra charge. Painted Shoes & Handbags
Let’s reinvent an old pair of shoes, a handbag, or a belt into a fabulously painted fashion statement! Bring an old leather (natural or man-made) wardrobe item from home and learn from instructor Norma LeVally, how to use textile paints to give it a facelift! Materials fee covers a paint kit that you can take home and continue to use. Class is offered on June 29 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm with a member cost of $40 and a nonmember cost of $45. There is a materials fee of $12 due to the instructor at the start of class. Girls Night Out: Wine and Dish, Sea-inspired Platters

Grab your favorite snack or beverage and join instructor Sarah Houde for a fun night out as we use clay slabs to create textured sea-inspired platters perfect for a summer entertaining. Decorate your work with colorful glazes for the perfect finishing touch! Recruit a friend and make it a true girls’ night out! Class is offered June 30 and July 7 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm both evenings. Member cost of $75, nonmember cost of $80. All materials are provided and students must be at least 21 years of age.
