Obamacare data discrepancies for 2 million

More than 2 million people who got health insurance under President Barack Obama's law have data discrepancies that could jeopardize coverage for some, a government document shows.

About 1 in 4 people who signed up have discrepancies, creating a huge paperwork jam for the feds and exposing some consumers to repayment demands, or possibly even loss of coverage, if they got too generous a subsidy.

The 7-page slide presentation from the Health and Human Services department was provided to The Associated Press as several congressional committees are actively investigating the discrepancies, most of which involve important details on income, citizenship and immigration status

This should not come as a surprise at all. Lying, discrepancies and no follow up have plagued the welfare, food stamp, unemployment, etc. programs forever. What a mess Obamacare is! Everyone is getting screwed one way or another; except for the elite chosen ones exempted by the Chosen One. It makes me think of videos I have seen where people said: Obama gonna pay my mortgage, rent, gas, etc....! Shudder! Why isn't this ridiculous debacle, or the horror of the VA on Obama's top priority list, instead of trading one questionable US soldier for 5 high level terrorists. Our country is in shambles! Thank you president Obama!

Many people lie on their income tax forms to save a few bucks, why should it surprise anyone that these same people would lie to save money or have the Government subsidize their insurance?????

I guess some of the discrepancies could be from erroneous information from applicants, but I believe this is a problem created by the complexity of the healthcare exchange itself.

2+ million people, 1/4 of the applicants, have errors. However small, or large, they may be. It's still a problem that would never be acceptable in private enterprise.

This is just the beginning.

Yep. Wait until it's "operational", and people get billed incorrectly.

Maybe then, there will be backlash, but until things hit home for a majority of the idiots who think this will solve the healthcare problem in America, things will not change.

But think of the number of jobs that will be created by all the people that will have to be hired to go through each application.

You would have thought millions losing their insurance because of Obamacare would send enough of a signal; but it hasn't. People are just hoping for that free healthcare, that free everything.

It always amazes me how complicated government forms can be, how little explanation they can contain, and the sheer number of blanks.

Every time I have to fill out some form there is a block or two that nobody has any idea what that block is actually for.

About 1.2 million have discrepancies related to income; 505,000 have issues with immigration data, and 461,000 have conflicts related to citizenship information.

Anyone remember why Joe Wilson said the Kenyan "Lies" in 2009?
