Open to all who wish to participate
This is the only Veteran's Home in Maryland. All the proceed's go to the residents in the form of items from a list requested by the residents. We do this every year and this is our 13th. And we want it to be our biggest yet for our Veteran's at the home.

Charlotte Hall Veteran's Home Poker Run 9 Aug 14 will start at 1100 at the Veterans Home. The last stop will be at the Lusby American Legion. We will have Bands and other events there to keep all entertained. This Poker Run is Sponsered by the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club of Southern Maryland and is open to all types of vehicles. Our goal is to provide basic items to the residents. The cost for the Poker Run is $25 (all the money will be spent on items from the list that the residents need and we deliver to them). Due to budget cuts at the home, if you do not have a sponser you go without the basic items.
Prize Money is paid buy the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club and is 1st place $500, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $150and last place is $100

Accurate Guns and Ammo from Loveville continue to support the Veterans Home! They have donated an H&K MP5 in .22 LR to be raffled off this year. Tickets can only be purchased at the last stop and the winner will be announced there as well.

As Mori said, ALL MONEY from this benefit is used to buy items for the residents. We are provided a list and buy specific items that cannot be provided by the state or family. PM me if you are interrested in donating but cannot make the run.

First off, HAPPY PURPLE HEART DAY!!!

As those who have participated in this event before will tell you, make sure you wear your strechy pants. Lots of good food and drink. If you can not do the poker run, you can show up at the Lusby American Legion and draw all your cards and be part of the finish. Maybe even win some money or prizes.

The will be BBQ (among other things) at the last stop. FREE, while it lasts from Mission BBQ and Dale's Smokehouse . Plus, we have purchased a keg of beer to wash it down with. All free to you for participating. Where else could you go for a great ride, great BBQ, a kicka$$ band, cold brewskis and help needy vets for only $20 per person?
