Is anyone having issues with Verizon internet. It keeps coming and going. Even after it shows full bars there is no internet.

My DSL has been fine. Slow, but fine.

And lots of bars has nothing to do with Internet access. The bars are just the wireless signal strength between your PC and the router. What happens after the router has no bearing on bars.

Try cycling the power on the DSL router.

Our internet has been so bad with Verizon. We have spent hours over the past week working and having them trouble shoot our service. They sent a new modem and have had a specialist look at it. Still just as crappy as it was before. Speed test are so far below what we are paying for. Very frustrating.

Is your DSL light on the modem flashing? if it is that could be the problem. The internet wouldn't work for us when the dsl light was flashing but once we fixed it and it was a solid light it worked fine.

Darwin was right
This problem just hit again last night. I placed a service call to Verizon and they had an automated message announcing that there was a problem with the DSL service in our area.
