Everybody has already seen this story, right?

No one has to worry about secession. Ole Honest Abe put an end to any hopes of that many, many years ago. Besides, people like you need Big Goobermint (tm) survive.

Wow, you really don't get math do you? From your article:

Some 23.9 percent of Americans polled from Aug. 23 through Sept. 16 said they strongly supported or tended to support the idea of their state breaking away, while 53.3 percent of the 8,952 respondents strongly opposed or tended to oppose the notion

23.9% support secession...when, exactly does 23.9% represent a majority? How would 23.9% in favor of something win a vote?

You think this is "news"??? In a country as polarized as our is?? :lmao:

Where, exactly, does it say or imply that?

It's a large percentage - surprisingly large. And it is not distributed evenly across the nation.

In a nation as polarized as ours, it actually is surprising that THAT many would want to just break off.

only 1 in 3 actively supported the Revolutionary War

1/3 - supported change
1/3 supported the crown
1/3 sat in the middle to see which way the wind was blowing ..... or played to both sides

and off all those, only 10% actually took up arms and fought
