Former dictator Saddam Hussein appeared in an Iraqi courtroom today to hear the charges against him for crimes during his rule. He told the court: "This is all theater, the real criminal is Bush." Saddam refused to sign court documents to confirm he understood the proceedings and referred to himself as "the president of Iraq" when asked to identify himself.

If we are going to De-"nazify" Iraq...there must be more than a few dozen trials. It is only fair that the trials linger for decades and thousands are arrested, tried & punished.

We were more than willing to do that to Germany--we must not think that the rest of the Baathists were "just following orders."
