Very intriguing map...might inspire some thoughts on retirement, or investment. Need to overlay with Property & sales taxes.

If you choose a place to retire with a low income base....services/construction should be cheaper. (As long as you have an income stream from investments & SS.)

OR...if you don't mind a longer commute,...live where its more affordable (again,...must eyeball taxes first!)

Calvert county,...just behind Anne Arundel. BUT Montgomery Cnty rating? 6th in the nation! whoa, who would have thought it.:eyebrow:

The criteria they used (only 6 points) is no where near what I would use in looking for a place to retire. Any time Monkey county can be rated that high as a place to live indicates the data is definitely skewed.
