Trees cleared on 488?

Anyone know what they are doing? Clearing for power lines?

I don't think its line clearing. At the West end they have left a strip of trees between the power lines and the cleared strip. Looks like its the early stages of either a new road bed, possibly for a new entrance to the St. Charles sprawl (similar to the one that replaced the Piney Church Road exit from 488) or for major infrastructure construction such as larger power line towers or water/sewer line expansion from La Plata.

I think it's way too expansive to be just another entrance to the sprawl. But if it's anything else, infrastructure, road widening, there are several houses in the way
