Charles County Public Schools - closed
St. Mary's County Public Schools - closed
Calvert County Public Schools - closed
St. Mary's College - closed
College of Southern Maryland - all campuses open at noon

NAS PAX River - RESTRICTED ACCESS. NAS Patuxent River has restricted access except for critical employees. Admin leave is granted for non-critical employees. Employees scheduled to telework and those with situational telework agreements should telework unless circumstances prevent it. Notify your supervisor of your intentions as soon as possible.

St. Mary's County Public Schools Employees have changed from Code 2 to Code 3 - No employees should report to work. Administrative leave will be provided for 12 month employees.

The St. Mary's County Board of Education meeting scheduled for today, January 14, 2015 has been cancelled. In addition, all after school activities scheduled for today, including the school emergency preparedness training program, are cancelled .

St. Mary's Ryken - closed

St. Mary's County Government:

Liberal Leave is in effect for St. Mary’s County employees. However, county Administrative Offices will open at their regular time.

St. Mary’s County Convenience Centers and STS will open at their regular time.

Recreation programs scheduled to be held at a public school location will be cancelled for today including this evening. All recreation centers (Leonard Hall, Margaret Brent, Hollywood, Carver, Great Mills Pool) will open at 12:00 p.m. All morning programs are cancelled. The Gymnastics Center will open for afternoon & evening programs at 4:00 p.m.

St. Mary’s County Circuit Court building will open at will open at 10:30 a.m. with court proceedings beginning at 11 a.m.

Charles County Government - Due to inclement weather, Charles County Government will open at 9 a.m. on today, Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, with the liberal leave policy in effect for all non-essential employees. Essential personnel and employees required to maintain operations during inclement weather are to report to work as scheduled.

Southern Maryland Higher Education Center will open at noon January 14, 2015.

The ARC of Southern Maryland will open 2 hours late. No transportation provided.

Calverton School - closed

Federal agencies in the Washington, DC area are OPEN and employees have the OPTION for UNSCHEDULED LEAVE OR UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK. Emergency Employees are expected to report to their worksites on time unless otherwise directed by their agencies.

The Navy Exchange at NAS Pax is closed today, Jan. 14, 2015.

Calvert County Government will open on time today with liberal leave in effect. County employees must contact their supervisor to request liberal leave. County Roads and Buildings and Grounds are salting side roads and county parking lots. Please allow for extra driving time and distance between you and the vehicles in front of you.
