There is a service you can subscribe to that will provide you with a fake "boyfriend" to "deceive your pestering family and friends". Never mind the patheticness of a fake beau, why all that bother to deceive people who ask about your personal life? Being a single woman is no big deal in this day and age, so how many people really pester someone about it?

This comment pretty much sums it up for me:

I can think of some situations I got in to where I'd been a lot better off with an invisible girl friend instead.

that's effed up. i'm the only single chick in my office, and currently boyfriendless, and most people could care less if I have a bf or not myself included.

Years ago, I worked with a woman that would tell people that her and her boyfriend were through and she was back to seeing Bob.
At the time I wasn't clued in on what she meant and after this happened several times I finally asked why she kept going back to this Bob guy. That's when she explained that BOB was her Battery Operated Boyfriend. :lmao:

.... it seems 'Orgasms' were proscribed treatment for 'Hysterical' Women
.... doctors were getting tired treating several women a day

the 1st BOB with 'Rabbit Ears' was designed in Japan where bobs banned from looking realistic by law
