What would you say to him if you had this chance? Or what did you say when you met him?

I asked him about shifting teacher pension responsibility back to the state and not the counties.

I also asked where the casino money is going because it sure as hell wasn't making it to St. Mary's County.

Please allow parents to opt out of PARCC testing for this year, while re-evaluating whether the state should be administering PARCC at all for next year.

Leave Education alone!Do more to bring business to Maryland ,look at adding a second bridge across the bay(toll) to the eastern shore .From Solomon's to Taylor or Madison Maryland .

Spending for education is being increased with his budget.
He campaigned on making Maryland more business friendly. In fact, the personal property tax for small businesses in St. Mary's is getting repealed. A replacement bridge from St. Mary's to Calvert will happen sooner then a bridge to the ES or the purple line for that matter.

It will all come down to the 2 Mikes and how they feel about the ENTIRE state and not just AA, MoCo, PGCo, BalCo and HoCo areas.

Sir,....you pulled off a near miracle in November...the Dems will not give you ONE inch of cooperation and are hell bent to unseat you in 4 years.
Please LISTEN to your constituent base in all the counties that were 60-70% RED...and cement their votes for re-election.
*Rework the districts for fair voting in 2020.
*Purge the voting rolls that have corrupted elections for decades & install reliable machines in ALL districts.
*CCW...sir, now.
*Finally, please find a way for Maryland NOT to be the laughing stock of the nation with its stupid "rain tax" and toxic host of gas taxes, inheritance, pension etc etc TAXES.

:yay:

I saw an article lately that Hogan is in favor of legislation to repeal the rain tax. I, also, read somewhere that MD wants to go back to paper ballots. Hopefully, Hogan will make his mark because as you say, he pulled off a miracle. I still can't believe he beat Brown! But, that is a good thing!

You know whatever question you're going to ask him, he will have some "engineered" method of deflecting, defusing or running interference on your question. Politicians have 5 PhDs on know how to talk (####) and make things "look good" and handle damage. Before you even had a chance to open your mouth, he will already have an answer.

Some of you can say a lot in 3 minutes! I had my time with the governor last week. After the introduction and the whole St. Mary's/daughter lives there connection, I only had time to thank him for putting the phosphorus management regulations on hold and that we, the grain farmers, want to work with him on this issue to get it right without more legislation. He was very receptive.

If it were me it would simply be criticism after criticism after criticism.

What are your criticisms? What has been done by previous MD govs, or what the new gov hasn't done yet? Hogan has been in office since Jan 21st; that is 24 days. He may need a little more time to make some changes. How can you criticize yet? So, the point of this thread is what would you ask him, if you had 3 minutes with him?

I would first say how glad I was he won. I wouldn't have any questions. I would just tell him that, obviously, the majority of Marylanders have put their faith in him, and I hope he does a great job. Actually, I would ask him if he can bring the tax burden down. He has started with the rain tax. I hope Hogan is all that we hope for as far as the change we need. We shall see.

1. Fire 50% of the state gov workforce,
2. Fire all the MVA employees and give all functions to a private contractor that will make most of it online/mail in forms.
3. Reverse all the taxes from the previous governor.
4. Get rid of all the maryland social programs (MCHIP, MEAP etc...)

Great suggestions! Questions or suggestions; what's the difference. :yay: Now, let's hope more change in our fed gov will happen in 2016. High hopes are a good thing! After all, it couldn't be any worse. I don't think so, anyway.
