    MTA MEDIA ADVISORY

"MTA Light Rail passengers should be prepared for long delays as Sundays ice storm has severely limited service. A bus shuttle has been established from the Hunt Valley station to North Avenue on the northern end of the MTA service area. A bus shuttle has been established from North Avenue to the Cromwell station and the BWI extension on the southern end of the MTA service area.

MARC Penn and Camden Line service will remain on their regular schedule but Brunswick Line service Train 800 will operate with a 45-minute delay from Brunswick Station because the Federal Government is operating with a 2 hour delay.

MTA Local Bus is operating with some delays and street diversions around the city to avoid steep hills and valleys.

We ask that customers allow extra time to get to their destinations today and take extra care on the streets and while approaching their station platforms.

Please visit the MTA website at www.mta.maryland.gov for the latest updates and listen to MTA Transit Team Reports for the latest on changing conditions. Customers can also visit MTA's Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/mtamaryland or Twitter feed at http://twitter.com/mtamaryland for additional sources of information.

    UPDATE
MTA Light Rail service remains disabled due to icing of overhead power lines. Bus shuttles have been established to transfer customers along the Light Rail service area.
