G'dam People and their G'dam Cats

Keep your G'dam cats in your own G'dam house and your own G'dam yard.

Nice day so I left the garage open to dry off the floor a bit. Come back out later and the whole garage reeks of cat spray. And I know these aren't strays or ferals because I've seen them slinking around, they have collars. Happens every year starting now for 2-3 months. Why the hell should I have to put up with this? I don't have cats for a reason and I don't want yours.

The topper was last year. I had a beautiful garden full of flowers. My mom was sick so I cut the flowers for her and put them in the bed of the truck. Got to her house, pulled the flowers out and realized they stunk of cat spray so bad there was no way I could bring them in the house. I took a picture of them and gave her the picture. I was so pissed.

If anything like that happens this year, I will not be responsible if your cat doesn't come home one night.

Well, Maryland has imported coyotes, so the problem may resolve itself.

Friday brought me a fat little mole yesterday. It was so cute and it squeaked every time I tried to catch it.

Sorry to hear about your flowers. I would be pissed also. There's a stray around here that would use our flower bed as their personal toilet and then I found paw prints on my car!!!! I haven't caught the cat out there yet, but so help it if I (or especially hubby) do. Our Lab is a pretty good hunter. I hope she catches it.

I completely sympathize with your situation. And I am not a cat hater, we had four very spoiled indoor cats, 3 lived to ripe ages (like 20 and 17) and the last moved out with our daughter. But I can't stand when people don't take care of their animals and let them become a nuisance. No one wants a garage or deck furniture that smells like cat spray. Ugh.

I don't understand all this hate. What if it were squirrels, or deer, or birds, or some other animal that was getting into your things or peeing on your plants? You'd take steps to shoo them away and keep them from destroying your yard, but you wouldn't be going, "G'dam God and his G'dam animals!" and blowing a blood vessel about how inconsiderate God is to just let his animals run around loose.

"Stupid God, keep your g'dam pets in your own yard!!"

However, this is a good opportunity to warn pet owners to keep their furbabies under control and don't let them roam. There ARE people who want to kill your pet.

This. My fully grown, 10 year old cat started having behavior problems when cats in the neighborhood would show up in my yard, on my porch, piss in my bushes, etc. It cost me trips to the vet, medications, and some herbal remedies to try and reverse his behavior.

It really is simple to keep your animals on your property.

Perhaps the behavior problem with your house cat is your house. Many cat behavior specialists admit that cats stuck inside often have behavior issues because they want to go out.
