St. Mary's lake fishing report 3/24

I got a St. Mary's lake grand slam today. Species included pickerel, crappie, bass & bluegill. I had a pair of crappie. It was super windy on the water today. Very overcast. Most fish caught were taken right off the bottom. I got 3 fish on a chartreuse jig. The water was pretty stained from the wind churning things up. A few more degrees and the lake should turn on.

In ours news today. Wildlife Resources in UT are practically begging anglers to help reduce the population of Northern Pike in a lake near Provo. No limit, donate for research if you don't want them. Look to be good size too.

I had the place to myself. Most days when I go during the week I'm the only 1 fishing there. On the weekends you can expect quite a few other boats down there.

Fish deep & slow if you go this time of year.
