Sanner's Lake does not allow that cartridge on our range.
It looked like that shooter swept the muzzle across that guy's feet.
What is the largest that is allowed? Just curious...there are no restrictions where I shoot in VA, except for no tracer ammo.

I think any legitimate hunting cartridge is good. I used a .416 Rigby prior to my trips to Africa.
Isn't the 600 Nitro Express a legitimate hunting cartridge? I don't own anything larger than .45 though....now. That might change if I can scrape together enough for a rifle and pistol that shoot the .500. I already have that kind of combination with my 1892 Alaskan guide gun and a Colt that both shoot the same .45 Colt cartridge.

Actually..it's "funny" you mentioned that. Somebody walked in to my shop and boosted my big Husqvarna chainsaw sometime over the last month or so. First time I'm aware of that anyone had the stones to come on to the compound and steal anything from the shop. Saw sat just inside the door with about 4 or 5 others. Time for motion-activated surveillance...and a S&W .500.
