Hillary Clinton surprises with early attack on CEO pay

Striking a populist note, Clinton, who announced on Sunday she was running for president in 2016, said American families were still facing financial hardship at a time "when the average CEO makes about 300 times what the average worker makes."

In a tightly scripted campaign launch in which there were few surprises, the comments were unexpected, at least by progressives, who saw them as an early sign she may shift away from the centrist economic policies pursued by her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

“I definitely see the push from the left wing, which I think is great,” said Jared Milrad, a Clinton supporter who appeared in a video launching her campaign for the presidency.

Milrad said he saw the populist rhetoric as a sign that Clinton "has been listening" to backers such as himself who want her to embrace some of the economic policies pushed by Senator Elizabeth Warren, a hero of liberal Democrats. Warren favors tighter regulation of big banks and a bolstering of the social safety net.

Why don't you post something about why people should vote FOR someone?

A majority of people in this country over 35 should have ample enough reasons not to vote for Mrs. Clinton.

He did. Reading comprehension is your friend.

His entire quote was a reason to vote for her if your leanings go that way.

I'm amused by the fact that one of the recent issues with her recently is the constant referral to her by her first name, only - as though it were "sexist".
Although I don't know what is "sexist" about using a first name, except unless your name is Mitt or Newt, chances aren't great people refer to you by only your first name.

Amused, because -- virtually ALL her campaign material refers to her that way.

Maybe he cannot think of one reason why anyone would vote FOR Hillary.

Anyway Hillary has a lot of nerve attacking CEO's when she and Bubba are getting rich giving speech's.
Not working mind you, but going to a town traveling first class to get there, having their Hotel bills paid, $300,000 for Hillary

And she has the nerve to question CEO's getting paid too much.

Got dam. She should be named Hypocrisy Clinton instead of Hillary.

We should vote FOR Hillary because we know what happens with single party rule; bad things. President Hillary might even be enough to provoke Boehner and McConnell into doing their jobs and being the OPPOSITION party as in actively opposing and trying to make things better like they did under Clinton I instead of this inert, supine, reactionary, no better ideas thing they we've doing for the last 4 years.

Right, because that's working so well NOW.

You want single party rule again? Just go ahead and say that, let's be clear and let's be done with this. You want single party rule?

It is one thing that that they WON'T act as an opposition party. That's bad enough. So, they're scared of the president, agree with him, whatever. It is a whole other ball game to have the pressures of party unity on top of that.

So, just say it. You'd like to see the GOP in power again. Go ahead. :tap:

There is no reason anyone should vote for her, but those that do will do so because she's a woman. That's all.

And WTF is with the scooby van? Named by Hillary, does she even have a clue what the scooby van was and what went on in the scooby van?

"Bongino, a former Republican candidate for Congress, wrote on his Facebook page, “In isolation, I wouldn’t hesitate to laugh about this and chalk it up to a humorous coincidence but, with the Clintons, nothing is coincidence. Everything with the Clintons is manufactured, even Mrs. Clinton’s ‘nickname’ for her van.”

“Are you ready for Hillary? If so,” Bongino continues, “then get ready for an entire campaign season of deception, fabrication, untruths, mistruths, spin, and verbal judo the likes of which you’ve never seen before.”
