SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION TODAY. A SIGNIFICANT
SEVERE WEATHER EVENT IS POSSIBLE. SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON...CONTINUING INTO THE EVENING HOURS. THE MAIN THREATS WITH
THESE STORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS. ISOLATED HAIL IS ALSO POSSIBLE.
IN ADDITION THESE STORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE LOCALIZED
HEAVY RAINS WHICH COULD CAUSE FLASH FLOODING IN THE DISTRICT OF
COLUMBIA AND COUNTIES IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...WHERE THERE IS A FLOOD
WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT.

DUE TO THE WIND PROFILE IN THE ATMOSPHERE...ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL
ALSO BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.

THE MOST LIKELY TIME FOR SEVERE WEATHER TODAY WILL BE BETWEEN 2 AND
8 PM.

A COLD FRONT WILL CROSS THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.
WARM AND HUMID AIR AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT AND STRONG WINDS ALOFT
WILL PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT CONDUCIVE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS.

THOSE WITH OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES PLANNED TODAY ARE URGED TO KEEP CLOSE
WATCH ON THE WEATHER. BE PREPARED TO SEEK SAFE SHELTER IF THREATENING
WEATHER APPROACHES OR IF A WARNING IS ISSUED. STAY TUNED TO NOAA

ughh!!! that's why I don't even go out at all if they are calling for the slightest incliment weather... its folks that have this mentality that think they are the only ones. Everyone heads to the boat ramp at the exact same time and you end up in a dangerous predicament having to wait out in the storm with about 15 other boaters out in front of you taking their time loading their boat. If it's slavens (the one closest) to you I think... they only have one ramp and a bunch of boats all trying to get out at the same time. :shrug:

Noah is not only a hottie but exceptionally smart for a two year old. Fate wouldn't be kind enough to let me have two attractive smart kids. This one is bound to be hot but simple like his father.

I agree but sadly they think they are the only ones -- and think only for themselves... like they would be the only one trying to get out of the water for dangerous weather. Why do you put in at smallwood -- they close after a certain point... at least at Slavens you don't have to come out of the water a certain time and if you need gas or anything - smallwood is around the corner. :shrug: - oh yeah and the fee is alot cheaper and there's a convenience store that sells food and other fishing items too (during the day). I got hauled out and escorted back to the peir by DNR last year for not having life jackets... so I went in there and thought for sure I'd have to pay out the nose for them being sold right there but they were only 9.99 :clap: also - it just seemed more like a straight shot for you down 210 until you get to the base.:smile:
