I suppose the fact that he quoted NMCC as being the source slipped right by you? He was pointing out that they had about as good a source as you can get. I think the split comes down to the other news folks being willing to just go with whatever random reports they get.

WTOP is reporting "No shots Fired" They have located the caller who reported it. May have been construction noise or and this is what I think, maybe some a$$hole who thought it would be funny to shoot off a firework.

CBS News says that two floors of Building 197 have been cleared with no shooter, weapons or casualties found. A third floor was being searched. WTOP's Kristi King says people in that building have been moved elsewhere on the Navy Yard campus.
