Found this, never heard of it before.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the human body. It is found in the highest concentrations in fluids in the eyes and joints. The hyaluronic acid that is used as medicine is extracted from rooster combs or made by bacteria in the laboratory.
People take hyaluronic acid for various joint disorders, including osteoarthritis. It can be taken by mouth or injected into the affected joint by a healthcare professional.
The FDA has approved the use of hyaluronic acid during certain eye surgeries including cataract removal, corneal transplantation, and repair of a detached retina and other eye injuries. It is injected into the eye during the procedure to help replace natural fluids.
Hyaluronic acid is also used as a lip filler in plastic surgery.
Some people apply hyaluronic acid to the skin for healing wounds, burns, skin ulcers, and as a moisturizer.
There is also a lot of interest in using hyaluronic acid to prevent the effects of aging. In fact, hyaluronic acid has been promoted as a "fountain of youth." However, there is no evidence to support the claim that taking it by mouth or applying it to the skin can prevent changes associated with aging.

I used a moisturizer with it..I did notice a bot of a difference in the texture of my skin but I am unsure if that was the hyaluronic or just a byproduct of the intense moisturizers. either way it did not make my skin especially sensitive or anything so id say it was worth a shot
I recently got a salicylic acid peel and it is now my new favorite thing. there was a DRAMATIC diff in my skin more so than any other product or peel ive gotten before. Not an especially pleasant experience overall, but totally worth it for the results.

Is this a peel that causes redness, irritation, peeling, etc? I've gotten peels before but they have been very mild and only take off a slither of skin. But, the results have been pretty good!!

I used this stuff from Sephora by Peter Thomas Roth. It has "Alpha (Glycolic and Lactic) Hydroxy Acid: Exfoliates skin's surface and supports natural cell turnover" and also, "Beta (Salicylic) Hydroxy Acid: Absorbs sebum within the pores to discourage future breakouts and supports natural cell turnover"...been using it for about a year, and I see a big difference.

Well the aesthetician scared me to death about it beforehand. Told me to prepare for pain and sensitivity and peeling and it was much much milder than she prepped me for. And I have sensitive skin. The application is short but fairly intense, definite burning sensation. My face was red and very slightly itchy for a few hours after but I woke up the next morning with no redness, no sensitivity, no pain. She said to expect peeling in about 3 days, took me about 7 and it was quite mild, just a teeny bit around my nose and chin where she put extra. I used an after treatment lotion with arnica and aloe twice daily so im sure that helped too. My skin looks fabulous still..decongested, evened the color, took down the scarring I had on my chin etc. well worth it, imo as the result I got was much more pronounced than previous glycolic peels
