Does California still have the three strikes law? Meaning if this wasn't an illegal immigrant he would have been in jail after the third felony, not free to commit (at least) three more.
It's a hard situation, do we tax our own citizens to feed and house violent criminal citizens of other countries, or do we return them only to have them find their way back to the US?
Maybe we should throw them in Jail, but bill their home countries for the cost. Do it like private parties do when they win a judgment against a foreign party, identify whenever they send money/goods through the US and confiscate it. Did the IMF use a US bank to send aid money to Colombia? Yup, we'll just take our share out of that thank you very much.
