Reminder: Democrats Care More about Grabbing Guns Than About Victims of Violence

About fifteen minutes after the news broke of the tragic on-air shooting of two local CBS reporters in Roanoke, the presumptive Democratic nominee for President took to Twitter and started campaigning off the tragedy:

Heartbroken and angry. We must act to stop gun violence, and we cannot wait any longer. Praying for the victims’ families in Virginia. -H

— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) August 26, 2015

Not to be outdone, Virginia governor and Clinton lapdog Terry McAuliffe immediately followed suit:

Here’s the thing. We don’t, at this point, know anything about how the shooter got the gun, or what measures at all would have prevented him from getting a gun, if any. So it seems kind of ludicrous to suggest laws to fix a problem when you don’t even know what the problem is.

But what we do know is that there are two families who are dealing with the tragedy of losing two loved ones who have been cut down in the prime of their lives. Compounding their grief and misery, this particular tableau is being played out in the harsh glare of the public eye, and they are sure to be descended upon by heartless members of a ratings-starved media eager for a juicy quote. Nancy Grace might well literally explode from ecstasy tonight. Maybe, as a nod to decency, we could at least let the dust settle from this tragedy before we start the fundraising pitches, whaddya say?

The St. Valentines massacre was worse, why not bring that up? How about General Custers last stand? Oh wait, that involved bows, arrows and hand to hand too. Something more recent, napalm and agent orange dropped all over Vietnam?

You should at least pick a cause that doesn't include a whack job in the scenario.

CNN: If You Oppose Gun Control You Are a “Fool” and a “Cowar

CNN: If You Oppose Gun Control You Are a “Fool” and a “Coward” (VIDEO)

Just now on CNN, host Carol Costello and Chris Cuomo held an unbelievable conversation about gun control. It is one thing for Cuomo to spout off at the mouth, because that is what he does. But Carol Costello is the host of a news program for a network that prides itself for having not gone the way of MSNBC or FoxNews, in terms of having hosts that openly pander to one side or the other. If anything, Costello’s hysterical gun control rant is worse than Cuomo’s in this clip:

Rough transcript is as follows:

Cuomo: You know what, I have a better answer for you now. Of course you’re angry. You’re angry because you know that there are solutions to this. Uh, these are not impossible problems. Are they intractable? Are they difficult to deal with the frustrations and problems of politics? Yes. But none of those are reasons for no solution. Of course there’s a better way to deal with guns in this society than we are. Any fool would know that. But what the preferences are for those solutions or lack thereof is where we get caught.

Can we do better with the mentally ill? Of course we can. You ask any clinician, you ask any politician who’s taken time to study it, of course we can. Of course there’s better monitoring, better treatment, better avenues. Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA) 40% has a bill right now that’s going nowhere in Congress. Of course the gun policy doesn’t make sense right now. Of course it doesn’t. And that’s why you’re angry. Because there is a necessary frustration when you’re faced with situations that are so obvious, that don’t change over time. I’ve been in 20 different states covering this, since Columbine. I’ve been to far too many. The questions are always the same.

And the answers don’t come and we know why they don’t come. And that’s why you’re angry, Carol.

Costello: That’s right.

Cuomo: And the question is, what do you do with that anger, what will make a difference?

Costello: You know, the other frustration is, that we live in a country with, um, with unbelievably smart people who can find solutions, yet we all sit back and say, “Ah, what can you do? There are evil people in the world.” Well, of course there are. But to say there’s nothing we can do about it, that’s just the coward’s way out, that’s not the American way, I just don’t understand that. There are solutions, we just have to sit down and talk about them like reasonable people.

the guy was fired for 'being difficult to work with'

but unless he was bragging to his gay black friends after the shootings in Charleston ... 'i'm gonna smoke me some honky's'

there is NO WAY to legislate this sort of violence away

.... oh but guns make it 'easier' to randomly kill people

Carried out by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, the bombing killed 168 people and injured more than 680 others.
These guys in Oklahoma didn't need a gun, just a truck and some fertilizer, a little diesel fuel.

The world is filled with weapons. Gasoline, Propane, WMD's homemade.
Not counting knives and hammers.

Why don't you answer the simple question that was asked of you in this thread.

He wont answer. Partly because its impossible to provide a real answer. Partly because he is an overall general POS. Id say its about 50-50 on the answer/POS personally. But aside from that, Sandy Hook is a perfect example of crazy in America. Is it possible that Lanza could have been better diagnosed and been put on a restricted list for firearm ownership? Certainly. He was a wax job and perhaps you could get me to buy in to the idea of somehow expanding background checks to cover bonafide lunatics or those with mental issues. But lets all get real for just 1 second with a smidgeon of common sense. In Sandy Hook, the shooter stole his weapon from his mother, shot her dead, and proceeded to kill those kids in a calculating and premeditated fashion. NO LAW would prevent that. The last time I checked, murder was illegal in all 50 states. It only holds logic that any offense of a lesser nature than murder will not be a deterrent to someone planning on killing 20 kids. Some democrats would like you to believe in the theory that another law on the books would somehow help. I mean lets place a 5 mph speed limit around all schools in the idea that it will provide an extra measure of time for police to respond to possible reports of a shooter enroute to a school. Of course, the shooter would have to obey the posted speed limit enroute to his murderous rampage, thereby giving police more time to respond. I don't know who is crazier, Adam Lanza or the people who dream these crazy gun laws up.

The only law that may possibly have any effect on a crazy person intent on causing death, is that which would decriminalize self defense. In the real world, those reporters would probably still be dead, because you cannot maintain a level of security and active response at all times in a peaceful environment. This is not a wartime scenario. It took that shooter in Roanoke merely a few seconds to kill both people. Its sad for sure. Maybe if he was unsure if any of them were armed, or the people in the area, the situation would be different. Maybe not. But one thing is for certain. You can damn well bet he was not concerned in the slightest with any silly gun law. He was there to commit murder!!!

I by no means am a fan of any more gun control, other than stiffer penalties for those who perpetrate crimes using weapons. To say that the VD massacre, a killing of six thugs by other thugs, was worse than Sandy Hook, the murder of 20 innocent children, well, that shows the magnitude of idiot you are.

Never..not once has your sorry arse ever pointed to anything legislative that would have prevented Sandy Hook and similar from occurring. So in addition to just being a POS in general, you are clearly a liar too. Nice work.

Post a yawing smiley now.
