Kevin McCarthy is an idiot. Speaker material?

If I may ...

Some people do rise to the occasion when elevated to leadership positions. Seen many E-4's that were of questionable quality, suddenly become great soldiers when those sergeant stripes were pinned on and given a squad of men to lead. Many times a new position and greater responsibility changes everything in a person. Time will tell.

Not in politics.

What's the problem here? When not screaming about abortion or gay marriage, benghazi is what most right wingers seem to be interested in. Isn't this why we wanted a new speaker?

I think these GOPers appearing on Fox News tend to drop their guard thinking they're in friendly territory, and inadvertently tell the truth. Oops.

We didn't exactly want a Speaker who would start right off saying that Benghazi was a political stunt to get Hillary.
This guy just gave Hillary the greatest gift she has had in a year.

And why shouldn't we be? Are you suggesting we should just push that aside; 4 Americans died because of State Dept and Whitehouse incompetence and dereliction of duty?

Do you not agree that the gop has approached it not as justice but as politics?

Well, can we give him credit for honesty if not political savvy?

Not so much as how the democrats have tried to claim it's all a conjured up scandal. They want to pretend it either really didn’t happen or that it really isn’t the big deal the GOP is making it out to be.

Are you suggesting congress shouldn’t get to the bottom of what went wrong?

Congress got to the bottom of it a long time ago....and has since decide to use it as mcarthy states.

I'm not convinced of this. We still have unanswered questions about who was calling the shots, who called off the marines, who decided to downgrade their security posture rather than beef it up in light of the growing threat, who conjured up the false narrative that it was a youtube video-spurred protest, and why would they do this, where was Hillary that night, where was Obama...?

It's why Hillary's emails are so important. It's not over yet.

Too many GOPers involved who would be deeply embarrassed. Ain't happening. Our vaunted secrecy rules have asses to cover.

Do tell????????????

Do we agree that the GOP was very much in support of arming our 'friends' in Libya? Yes, we do.

Do we agree, then, that a number of GOP'ers were aware, if not in minute to minute detail, then, in general and fairly good specifics of the plan to run guns through the Ambassador via some Turks to our 'friends' in Libya? Yes, we do.

Do we then agree that some of them *cough* McCain *cough are MORE than powerful enough to make sure these hearings do NOT go into ANY detail in terms of Specific GOP'ers knowing/being on board/supportive of or, worse, having promoted the idea in the first place? Maybe. In any event, it is NO stretch to say that many a GOP'er would have some fairly srious egg on their face were the facts, the ones that lend themselves to truth, responsibility, known. Agreed?

So, then, no one who has a good bit to lose AND the power to protect themselves, is going to allow much of an investigation.

Bottom line, if this was the fantasy many on the right wish it to be, Hillary cooked up this stupid scheme, ####ed it up and cut those guys lose to they'd all die and not be able to tell the tale of her ineptness, we'd know ALL about it. As is, this inane spook story had GOP politicans, especailly necons, fingerprints all over it. Not to say it is THEIR fault but only to state the obvious; their support of it is NOT going to serve to make Hillary alone, or even just Hill and dems, look bad.

Agreed?

So, they can all hide behind the secrecy laws. :patriot:
