The Robotic Church

"The Robotic Church is an ode to the power of the architecture of the church," MacMurtrie writes in his artist's statement. "It is a parallel with what we are really familiar with and what we are getting far away from. We are getting further and further away from human contact and we are more interested in our contact with machines."

This is where some people think society is headed because you like computers, you like tablets and robotics, people like devices more than people or God so this may be where some of you are headed.

Just go to any restaurant, anytime, and see families of five or six sitting at the table, each one with their phone in their faces. Same in cars, schools, football games, even in churches.

We have met the machine, and the machine is us.

Don't give me just the "you", though. You have a computer, more than likely a cell phone, etc., as well. We all certainly like our toys, but way too many, especially the younger set, are obsessed with them and many lack any kind of social skills outside of gaming.
