Holiday Ideas for the Tech Inclined

Does anybody have any ideas for a Tech inclined, most likely already has the gadget anyway, kind of person?

He's not an Apple fan.

I was thinking if not a tech gadget, but maybe some things like SD cards or something for the stocking. Like something you can never have too much of (though I do think we have too many charging cords, but I'm obviously wrong). So any ideas are welcome. TIA.

There is a gaming store by Shoppers that has 20 sided die as big as a baseball.

I told Mrs. Misfit but she gave me a +4 AC glare when I mentioned it. :frown:

I’m asking for a buggy…

Fitbit Charge HR... great techie for any health conscious person or dieter... not just for the exerciser or athletically inclined. Great for comparing calories in verses calories burnt. Continuously monitors heart rate, pre-defined heart rate zones, steps, stair steps, exercise, normal calorie burn. You add weight changes, water consumption and any exercise performed. Keeps records of everything heart and calorie related.

I've been working on building my entire home automation and media subsystems around the Beagle. Raspberry Pi is cool too.

A little more low-tech but still very cool is X10, a communication/signaling protocol that uses standard electrical wiring. It's been around since 1975 but is still useful and is enjoying some retro geek chic resurgence these days.

We went to 5Below today in the dorf, and I got a ball that hovers! It chaarges via a usb to a computer, then you use any remote to contril it. It is called a Heli Ball , flies up to 15 feet, and really cool.hovers above any surface; sort of a mini-drone as such! Great gift for my Xmas party coing up. And yes, I bought three of them!!

That sounds like a great and fun gift! I went to a 5 Below once, years ago, and regretted not buying an awesome glass chess set they had. We don't have one of their stores near our area. Oh well.

I will take this opportunity to ask how you are doing. I hope well. I used to be mamatutu. Take care.

Thanks everybody, please keep them coming. Unfortunately, he already has most of what you've suggested.

Think Geek is only good for t-shirts and desk weapons anymore, but it is a great :nerd: shop.

People's Elbow, your sweet gift is going on my shopping list idea. Thanks for the links.

Liberty Beacon, will that BeagleBone work with home automation that's already in place? Any advice on what to purchase?

Stew, where is 5 Below? I can't remember the last time I was in Waldorf.

An AR-15 with a high tech non parallex red dot sight.

Yeah buddy. Or step up a notch to a good .308 like a FN AR 16" that will accurately reach out and touch you to 600 yds, with a Nikon M-308 scope. For the AR-15, an EoTech holographic, night vision compatible sight, in conjunction with an EoTech 3X multiplier to really rock your day. It rocks mine.

Tech enough?
