Interesting read.........
The Democrats stole the Highway funds for O'Malley's programs. Now they want to steal them again for political gain.
What I don't understand is Busch and Miller are taking highway funds from their own Districts, but their constituents do not seem to care. Or, maybe they will be the next Bohanons.

Huh? The transportation money is going to be used for transportation projects. Exactly how is that "stealing"??

Of course the spending will go where the people are and of course any govt spending is going to be a result of political deals. But "stealing", no...unless of course that is just another defintional problem on this site.

I guess fixing roads and bridges, you know, that infrastructure, that Dear Leader Maobama is always touting With his shovel ready jobs doesn't count as "transportation" projects.
When I pay my share of fuel taxes and that money goes to finance a definite boondoggle of the red line, upon which a MAJORITY of Marylanders will not use (think ICC) then, yes, that is stealing. If you took the time to read HOW HB1013 would adversely affect the rest of the state then you too should be outraged, but being a good little minion of the Democratic Apparatus you would take it in the ass and ask for seconds before using logic when looking at stuff like this.'ll

For the liberal impaired....
O'Malley stole every dime from the highway trust funds to pay for his liberal agenda
O'Malley raised taxes and fees on the entire state to pay for his liberal agenda
Hogan has pledged to change this.
We have many projects in St. Mary's county that need work.
The thieves are taking our gas tax dollars to pay for projects in Montgomery county and mass transit for our city dwellers.
Busch and Miller are F'ing their own constituencies for this. Why? They are from Anne Arundel and Calvert.
If you are from SOMD and one of your bridges fail or one of your family members get killed on a sub standard road, you can tell Busch and Miller thank you, because they kept Montgomery county safe.

Even more reason to advocate for privatized roads.

You drive on it, you pay.

Research how your representative voted, and if he/she doesn't represent you, call, complain and then vigorously support whoever runs against them. Educate everyone you know about how your rep voted and urge them to vote them out.

Oh, I'm sure most of the representatives for the people who post here cast votes that represented our view. But they would have been the minority republicans.
It was my understanding that in the old days, the "others" would gang up and oppose the Montco/PG/Baltimore crowd so that other districts in the state had a voice.
This included western, northern, southern and eastern shore parts of MD. Now it seems the Dems just vote as a block because their leadership tells them so.
