Got a letter in the mail yesterday.....well, Mom did. She gave it to me to figure out. Iknowrite?

"REPAIR RESPONSIBILITY"
"Why This Is Important To You"

The letter goes on to say that I/we 'may be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the water line that services your home.'
(Butt-Head Voice): Ehhhh.....'but we don't have a water line.'

This letter must pertain to folks who are on 'city water;' which we are not. They, AWR of MD, wants folks to enroll in a water line protection program: $5.49/month or $65.88/yr.. That's how it is stated in the letter. Yes, I did the math.

So, just for kicks, I called the PH# and sat on hold for.....well, long enough, then hung up. I'm guessing, if you wait on hold long enough, somebody will eventually pick up, then try to sell you something else in addition to this maintenance coverage?
I just pitched the letter.

Doesn't this sound like a scam targeting Seniors? Although.....there is a BBB stamp; for lack of a better word; "BBB Accredited Business." We still don't need the coverage. So, anybody else recently get one deez letters?
