Absolute respect. They are unlike any team/organization in the 50 years I have been watching and understanding pro football. They just don't miss a beat, no matter the situation. They obviously will not win the whole enchilada year in and out - no team ever will - but with an owner like Kraft, and the incomparable Belichek, you gotta give it up to them. No Brady for four games? No problem. No Gronk? No problem. Lose stars year in and year out to free agency? No problem. Just next man up to the highest degree.

Here's the thing. Pro football, winning, comes down to making just a few more plays than the other team. Everyone has talent, skill and really good coaching. It could be about making even ONE less mistake. Two teams can be virtually even in terms of everything else and three plays shows 21-0 on the scoreboard and everyone thinks one team sucks and the other is the '75 Steelers. That's just not so. No one dominates anymore. There is no more enormous talent disparity. It is ALL about making just a few more plays. The Super bowl two years ago is a perfect example; the kid who made the pick, in practice THAT week, he blew it and his coach stopped practice and told him, you gotta make the play. It's the little details. Everyone is TRYING to do it, to make a play, and most do, 9 out of 10 plays. But it's that 5 or 4 or 3 or 2 or even 1 extra over a game and that's what the Pats do better than anyone else, usually, game after game, play after play.
