Google had close ties with outgoing Democratic President Barack Obama's administration, and its employees donated much more to defeated Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton than to the Republican Trump.

...

During Obama's presidency, more than 250 people moved between jobs at Google or related firms and the federal government, national political campaigns and Congress, according to a report this year by the Campaign for Accountability watchdog group's Google Transparency Project.

Eric Schmidt, Alphabet's executive chairman, was seen at Clinton's Election Night party wearing a staff badge in a widely circulated photo.

In the stolen and leaked emails of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta disclosed by WikiLeaks, an adviser wrote a memo to Clinton in 2014 that said "working relationships with Google, Facebook, Apple, and other technology companies were important to us in 2012 and should be even more important to you in 2016, given their still-ascendent positions in the culture."

Seems you ought to do a little media research before you jump to your silly conclusions.

Here is the report about the movement of people: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...street-2-to-1-silicon-valley-takes-washington

Most of the movement was FROM govt TO Google...not the other way around as you and the article you posted assume.

Companies don't particularly care who is in control politically, they only care about the policies/regulations that are proposed. Companies the size of Google simply throw enough weight and lobbying money around to get things they like passed and things they don't quashed.

You've never worked (there's a statement in an of itself) for the government have you? You would know (if you had worked) that movement from government to industry is based primarily on how closely you worked (there's that word again) with the industry you eventually moved into. It's like "You cannot make a fortune working (you just can't get away from that word, can you?) for the government. But you can do a little something for us and we'll reward you with a tidy job (there's something else you know nothing about) that pays you handsomely.
