Electoral College: Make Hillary Clinton President on December 19

We are calling on the Electors to ignore their states' votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton. Why?

Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic.

Secretary Clinton WON THE POPULAR VOTE and should be President.

Hillary won the popular vote. The only reason Trump "won" is because of the Electoral College.

But the Electoral College can actually give the White House to either candidate. So why not use this most undemocratic of our institutions to ensure a democratic result?

There is no reason Trump should be President.

"It's the 'People's Will'"

No. She won the popular vote.

"Our system of government under our Constitution says he wins"

No. Our Constitution says the Electors choose.

"Too many states prohibit 'Faithless Electors'"

24 states bind electors. If electors vote against their party, they usually pay a fine. And people get mad. But they can vote however they want and there is no legal means to stop them in most states.

Weren't we all cheering the elector out west somewhere who claimed they wouldn't vote for Hillary regardless of the state vote?

This is the exact same thing.

It's fair game for them to ask for this. To be honest, it's fair game if the electors do it. It won't happen, but it is fair game.

I believe if this happened it could touch off a civil uprising much worse than blocking a highway.

and Justifiably so.

But then we don't have to worry the electors are not insane as are those who propose such an act.

This, and I don't think the snowflakes know quite what it might be like to go up against a bunch of armed and pissed off rednecks.

IF this happened and it won't,it would destroy any semblance of a Democratic election according to rules set up.
We would then have anarchy.----------------"a state of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority."

.

You should actually go back and read the articles about the Native American elector in Washington. He was definitely NOT going to cast his vote for TRUMP. He was going to withdraw his vote from HILLARY. But in the end he said he would vote as directed. So this it NOT the exact same thing.

What they're saying is, "Screw you people, we want what WE want and don't care what YOU want."

Just more self-absorbed self-centered mememememeME! bull#### from the Left. They think they're the one ones who count because they're so superior everybody is stupid except for them.

Again, you miss the point entirely. It matters not for whom the elector is saying they'll vote - it's whether they'll vote as directed or not.

Before saying they'd vote as state law mandates, they said they'd NOT do that. That makes it conceptually the same thing.

I can only speak for MD, but electors are selected by the political parties. Both the Dem and Rep parties submit a list of 10 names as their electors. If Hillary wins MD, the list of Dems is used. If Trump wins MD, the list of Rep names is used.

I can only guess the other states operate in much the same way. Therefore, the electors from historically blue states that went for Trump would come from the Rep list of electors. If so, why would an elector from the Rep party switch their vote from Trump to Hillary?

So, if it is determined that the popular vote went to Trump, does MD have to change its electors to Trump?

To be fair - cheering them on is a lot different than openly soliciting them to change votes.
