Rush Limbaugh: Trump’s Boeing tweet signals to world that Clinton-era cronyism is over

“In 2010, two months after Hillary went to Moscow to broker a $3.7 billion trade deal with Russia, ‘Boeing donated $900,000 to the Clinton Foundation,’” the radio host said. “Then in July 2012, just months after the State Department helped it secure major deals in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, Boeing said it wanted to sponsor a speech by Bill Clinton.”

The conservative commentator added that former President Bill Clinton was paid $250,000 for a Boeing speech and that Mrs. Clinton received $166,735 for her presidential campaign.

“So Hillary Clinton as secretary of state had helped Boeing broker two deals, one in Russia (a $3.7 billion deal) which got them a $900,000 contribution to the Clinton Foundation, and in 2012 Boeing hired Bill to do a speech for a quarter mill — chump change compared to what they’ve been sending Hilary,” Mr. Limbaugh said. “Plus, they sent about $170,000 in campaign donations. Trump knows all this. He’s very much aware of the cronyism that’s been going on.”

“[Trump] doesn’t like the Iranian nuke deal. He doesn’t like any of Obama’s trade deals. He doesn’t like much of our foreign policy, and Boeing is in the thick of it. Boeing is right smack dab in the middle of many things. And so this tweet that Trump has put out there today is not just an idle Trump’s gotta say something, he’s bored kind of thing. There’s obviously something very meaningful behind it.”

Then what? Boil it all down and Boeing needs sales. The Clinton's plan was give us a cut, we'll help. Absent that, airbus gets the sales, right? So, how will trump help boeing? A tax cut? Make some other deal?

Just another GURPS does of propaganda...here's the other side of the story he so conveniently fails to cut and past about...probably because Republicans can do no wrong...

A Japanese firm with state backing is talking with Ivanka Trump about licensing her branded clothing, raising questions about what she was doing at a recent meeting between her father and Japan's prime minister.

Ivanka Trump's clothing company has been in talks with apparel maker Sanei International for the past two years, Kohei Yamada, a spokesperson for Sanei's parent company, confirmed Monday.

The negotiations were first reported by the New York Times on Sunday.

President-elect Donald Trump met with Shinzo Abe in New York last month, an event that was closed to the news media. Photos released by the Japanese government showed Ivanka Trump among a small group of attendees.

It's unclear why she was there, but the situation highlights the potential for a conflict of interest between Trump's powerful new role and his family's businesses.

Sanei International's parent company is TSI Holdings. The biggest shareholder in TSI is the Development Bank of Japan, which is owned by the Japanese government.

So GURP's hated cronyism is alive and well. The Trumps used the campaign and are now using the Presidency as free marketing to enrich themselves. The exact same end result as GURPS article. The only difference is the methodology. It is clear. It is obvious...and none of the right wing freaks care because Mr. Trump isn't Mrs. Clinton and THAT is all that matters...what he actually does, what he actually says is irrelevant to the blind followers.

BTW...suppose our illustrious President Elect does cancel the Boeing contract...how many US jobs will that cost?

You're right. Boeing and Airbus are the only companies who have a track record in building jumbos. So if Trump gives Boeing the shaft, the presidential aircraft will have to be built in Toulouse. And, yes, they do need to be built. The two current SAM aircraft will be 34 years old by the time the new 747-8s might be ready.

The two current SAM aircraft were low millage vehicles until THE ONE took office.
