Report: All Senior State Dept. Management Officials Resign

nhboy

Ubi bene ibi patria
" The State Department’s entire senior-level management staff resigned on Wednesday, The Washington Post reported. Patrick Kennedy, the under-secretary for management, was reportedly aiming to stay with the department, but resigned suddenly on Wednesday along with his top staffers described by the Post as “career foreign service officers.” It was unclear why exactly Kennedy, who was working closely on the department’s transition after Donald Trump was elected president, decided to call it quits.

David Wade, former chief of staff for John Kerry, called it “the single biggest simultaneous departure of institutional memory that anyone can remember, and that’s incredibly difficult to replicate.” He added that such positions are extremely difficult to fill. Those who left were reportedly career foreign-service officers who’ve served in both Republican and Democratic administrations. "

This is great. What it proves is that they were all so left wing that they cannot work for Trump.
IMO it is best that they leave, Every freacking one of them.
So much better than when Bush came into office and had them stabbing him in the back for 8 years.

Good riddance. Looks like some folks didn't understand that a career in civil service means that you serve the government as a whole, not a particular person at the top.

Can only hope that they have immediately locked down their email and network access, collected all state department computers, phones, etc. Then a desk audit and ensure their there are no huge gaps in email records.

Actual title of the article is much different than the title of the thread.

Report: Senior State Dept. Management Officials Fired

Other differences from the article Boy linked and the Washington Post article is the fact that Kennedy was on the chopping block already, that CNN reported it was a firing, not a mass resignation, and that the entirety of those who resigned = 4 people, Kennedy included.

4 people BFD.
Reminds me of the bucket people put their hands in and swirl the water around. When they take their hands out the water becomes calm again in a short time.
Trump will miss them like he would miss a toothache. The sooner they are gone the sooner it becomes HIS state department.
