I don't, really. My comment was with regard to jet noise. Haven't heard a whole lot yet today and I'm pretty sure why.

Not very much to talk about here. Pax LEO did a good job within the standard SOP for such a situation.
Typically an announcement sent out as part of a drill will be preceded by the words, EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE
At the end of the drill they will state that the EXERCISE is over.

Yeah, so when a thing happens, and it's repeated many times that "THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!! I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A DRILL", but oddly enough it happens when the base is in the middle of a security exercise, and one person in the parking lot is told he has to evacuate his car by a nice lady with a red rubber pistol, and the guy briefing a large group in a parking lot has to work to hold back a smile when asked flat out if this is a drill and says no, it's not a drill, and they clear a very large building in less than 30 minutes, it makes you wonder if it really was a not a drill.
I would like to think that basic rule that you NEVER misidentify a drill wouldn't be blown off, but stranger things have happened.
I think you are over thinking this.
